Raoul Andrews Sudre – Senior Advisor, Aspen Spa Management

After receiving a diploma in Hotel Management at the Cornell University, N.Y., in 1960, and following a short episode as a inspection manager at the Duncan Hines Institute he began an advisory career as a member of the Cornell University team.

He was a consultant of the Ministry of Tourism in the following countries: France, Morocco, Brazil, Mexico and Nicaragua, as well as of leading hotel chains: Ritz Carlton, Bulgari, Four Seasons, Accor and Omni. Quotations from his works regularly appear in most prestigious magazines in the US such as Wall Street Journal, New-York Times, Hotel Magazine, Spa Management, Healing Retreats, Pulse, Spa Asia, American Spa and Novellas Esthetique.

He regularly takes part in many conferences connected with the SPA notion all over the world. Over 45 years of experience in alternative and esthetic medicine, fitness and modern treatments in professional cosmetology allows him to have a unique view on the SPA branch.

For a few years he has been a board member of the International Spa Association.

Felicia Brown – Spa Consultant & Trainer Spalutions!

She is an expert and a trainer in developing of the SPA business. Ms. Brown is also a founder of the spalutions! which offers consulting services for the companies of the SPA branch starting from individual courses for therapists up till expanded marketing strategies for big companies.

Her knowledge is based on experience that she gained while building her own SPA facility, where she was dealing with all its aspects, which initially included preparing a business plan and in the last stage was about managing a company that hired over 50 people. For 5 years Ms. Brown also carried out lectures on modern massaging techniques at the Guilford Technical Community College.

She has valid certificates of a professional massager, estate broker, SPA trainer and consultant.

Carly Gotz – Group Director the Great Hotels Organisation

Australian-born Gotz studied tourism at one of the country’s leading universities, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, where she graduated with distinctions. Before moving to London in 2001, she was employed by APT International, one of Asia Pacific’s largest tour-operating companies with offices globally. She spent over six years with the company, during which time she was responsible for contracting over one million hotel rooms per year for their touring series as well as opening new touring routes in China, Alaska, Canada and River Cruising in Europe.

Carly Gotz joined the Great Hotels Organisation (www.ghorg.com), the London-based technology and marketing alliance, in 2002. With a strong background in international tourism she has been integral in bringing the company to the forefront of the electronic distribution marketplace. Most recently Gotz has launched G-rez by Great Hotels Organisation  – a private label GDS code providing affordable GDS/ADS and internet solutions for 3- to 5-star hotels globally.


Robert Węglarz – occupational advisor and consultant
An experienced hotelier and a manager with over 20 years of experience, he graduated from a technical gastronomic college and Cracow University of Economics in the faculty of Management of Company Finance.
He gained his professional experience at Holiday Inn, Forum Intercontinental, Sofitel and Ibis Accor, and in recentl years he has been a director of the Malinowy Zdrój SPA hotel.
For a few years he has been in charge of different trainings and occupational consults, as a part of Poland’s biggest training-advisory program for the tourism branch called “Turystyka Wspólna Sprawa”.


Dr Rafał Rouba – assistant professor at the Tourism Institute of the University of Łódź

Scientific activity of dr Rafał Rouba has been connected with the hotel industry, business tourism and SPA services for many years.

In his professional career he has carried out a series of lectures on subjects connected with matters of hotel industry, business tourism and SPA services. Apart from lectures at the university he also gave lectures during a variety of training sessions in Poland, Cyprus, Belarus and Moldova, and furthermore he was also a speaker at courses organized by United Nations as a part of United Nations Development Program, as well as he functioned as a lecturer/expert in the “Turystyka Wspólna Sprawa” program.

Apart from theoretical knowledge he also gained a number of skills while working for Royal Carribean International, Scandinavian Leisure Group, Minoan and Saronic Cruises, Regional Tourism Organization in Łódź, Local Tourism Organization in Toruń, the Central Examination Board, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

Dr Rafał Rouba for the last few years has been co-operating with “Polskie Hotele SPA & Wellness” group in the area of a pioneer project of certification of SPA facilities.

Paweł Polka – owner of the Comfortum Company and a co-owner of E-promocja.com.pl s.c.

He graduated in Geography of Tourism and Hostellerie in 2000, created polish branches of companies dealing with reservational systems – TourisMarketing Services GmbH and tourisline AG, worked for Celebrity Cruises and was a co-founder of a few associations.

Mr. Polka is a founder of Hotel Reservation Centre in Łódź and a few additional portals associated with hotel industry. Since 2005 he has been annually publishing “SPA & Wellness w Polsce” catalog and he is also a founder of the following portals: spahotele.pl, spa-info.pl. He is an active promoter of the SPA notion in Poland – also through awarding the certificates of “Polskie Hotele SPA & Wellness”.

Jarosław Miszczak – M.A. in IT at the University of Łódź

In the years 2004-2006 he worked for tourisline Polska in preparing internet promotional strategies, mainly in the SPA and hotel industry.
Co-owner of the E-promocja.com.pl s.c. responsible for preparing and running advertising campaigns on the Internet (including such sites as spahotele.pl and spa-info.pl).

Mr. Miszczak is also a founder and a board member of the Unwanted and Forgotten Foundation, since 2006 responsible for promotion of the Foundation and PR.
